GCA Partners with Suceava Baptist Association

Changing Lives Together.

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

Welcome to the heart of our mission – a partnership that extends across borders, connecting the Great Commission Association (GCA) with the Suceava Baptist Association (SBA) in the northeast region of Romania. Comprising 80 member churches serving over 700,000 people, SBA is actively ministering to their local communities and Ukrainian refugees in Romania and Ukraine.

GCA is inviting member churches to participate actively in a new partnership with the Suceava Baptist Association (SBA) in the northeast region of Romania.

SBA consists of 80 member churches serving a population of over 700,000 people. These churches serve their communities and minister to the Ukrainian refugees in Romania and Ukraine.

GCA has a threefold approach to the beginning of this partnership.

  • The first stage is relationship building through annual mission trips to Romania to encourage pastors and churches. GCA also sponsors two pastors and their wives annually to attend the GCA Missions Conference and preach in local churches during their stay.

  • Secondly, GCA is funding the associational work of SBA with a monthly donation. This is to provide adequate pastoral training, fellowship, and evangelism resources.

  • Thirdly, we are asking GCA churches to establish a prayer partnership with one sister church in Romania and to share mutual concerns for God’s work to advance in both churches. Churches at the GCA Missions Conference will be given the first opportunity to sign up for this critical encouragement ministry!

Through these efforts, we pray that God will bless GCA and SBA churches to establish working partnerships that change the lives of many in Romania and California.

A Visit From Romania

Meet Cătălin and Paula…

President of Regional Baptist Assoc. in Suceava, Romania

Living in a Romanian province bordering Ukraine, Pastor Cătălin and Paula Croitor are helping to mobilize regional Baptist churches to assist those fleeing the war. Though having few resources, the members of these churches have opened their meeting spaces and homes to the flood of refugees.
